Job Responsibilities :

  • Technical Data Analyst will be working in a data governance squad of 3, working directly with the Dat Governance manager Markets Data Governance Office, in the execution of data governance across the division.
  • As Technical Data Analyst responsible for cataloguing of data assets for one or more entities within Markets.
  • Documenting data quality controls that meet data governance standards and recommending enhancements to the control framework.
  • Improving the quality of data through the analysis, de-duplication; consolidation and enhancement of data, following newly documented data quality standards.
  • Identifying and capturing critical data elements in LSEG’s central data catalogue.
  • Identifying and capturing the metadata associated with the critical data elements.
  • Identifying and documenting a business data glossary, consolidating and standardising data definitions.

Qualifications and Skills Required :

  • Any Bachelor’s Degree
  • Good understanding of data management principles and best practices.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent data analysis skills and experience in data remediation approaches; (Advanced SQL; Python)
  • Experience as a systems analyst an advantage.
  • Understands relational databases, ETL and data architecture in general.
  • Experience in Microsoft Purview useful.
  • Experience in and knowledge of financial services regulatory framework and policy is beneficial.
  • Open to and willingly adopts new processes / approaches / ways of working.
  • Proactively identifies ways to improve products and/or services and procedures resulting in increased revenues, product/procedure improvements and/or cost reduction.
  • Shares information across teams, departments and functions and actively seeks information and input from colleagues and clients.
